NFPA 86 Safety Inspections

Operate with greater confidence, better records, and a stronger safety-focused maintenance plan with an annual NFPA 86 inspection.

NFPA 86 safety inspections are required in OSHA 1910.107 and by most insurance carriers annually. They are an important part of protecting personnel, equipment, facilities, and production processes that rely on industrial ovens, furnaces, burners, and thermal processing systems.

These inspections help identify potential fire, explosion, fuel-train, control, purge, interlock, and flame-detection risks before they become serious safety or compliance issues by checking all burner interlocks and safety devices.

ATS performs comprehensive NFPA 86 combustion safety inspections that include functional testing of burner management systems, safety shutoff valves, pressure switches, combustion air proving devices, flame safeguards, purge sequences, and critical burner interlocks to determine whether equipment is operating as intended and whether improvements may be needed.

By making NFPA 86 inspections an annual routine, ATS can help customers operate with greater confidence, better records, and a stronger safety-focused maintenance plan.
